Three tricks can make sows have multiple litters and high yields

??Strengthen the feeding and management of sows

During the non-pregnant period, mid-pregnancy and late lactation, sows should be fed more roughage and given green feed appropriately. During early pregnancy, late pregnancy and early lactation, sows must be supplied with sufficient protein, minerals and vitamins. At the same time, sows should be provided with a relatively stable living environment to minimize stress responses caused by transferring groups, driving and so on.

Do a good job of sow farrowing and delivery

From 5 to 10 days before farrowing, the farrowing pen should be cleaned thoroughly and disinfected by spraying with 10% to 20% fresh limewater. Before farrowing, use 2% to 5% Lysol solution to disinfect the sow's abdomen, udder and vulva. After the sow gives birth, promptly remove the mucus from the piglets' noses and tear off the fetal membrane. For piglets that appear stillborn, first aid methods such as patting the chest, lifting the hind limbs upside down, or stimulating the nose with alcohol can be used. For sows with difficult labor, assist the delivery properly so that the sow can farrow smoothly. In addition, keeping warm is especially important for newborn piglets. When the piglets are born, the temperature in the farrowing house must be kept at 26°C to 32°C

??Sows should be mated during lactation

Piglets should be weaned at 35 to 40 days of age. Under normal circumstances, 3 to 5 days after the piglets are weaned, give the sow estrus-inducing drugs. Once the sow comes into heat, mate her immediately so that she becomes pregnant during lactation, thereby increasing the number of piglets born.
