Short-term fattening of cattle is highly profitable

Adjust the cattle shed temperature properly

The temperature inside the cattle shed should be kept above 5°C. If the temperature is too low, it will affect the cattle's weight gain, and the cattle will also lose condition. In winter, the cattle shed should be kept warm, covered with plastic sheeting, and gaps in the walls should be plugged with straw or mud, etc., to ensure the temperature inside the shed and facilitate lighting, while also preventing too much of the heat given off by the cattle themselves from being lost, so that the cattle can fatten and gain weight normally. Master the feeding method

Before fattening, cattle should be dewormed for internal and external parasites. For every 10 kg of body weight, inject 0.2 ml of Chongkexing subcutaneously, or give an oral dose of 0.1 g per kg of body weight; 3 days after deworming, each cow should be given 350 g to 400 g of Dahuang Quhuo Jianwei San orally. They should drink enough water. Feed should be given coarse first and then fine, with water last. To reduce energy consumption, do not graze, allow less exercise, keep them housed and tethered, feed at fixed times and in fixed amounts, and water at fixed times. In winter, provide warm water; the water should be clean and fresh. Let the cattle eat their fill at each meal, especially coarse feed, which should be chopped fine, and the forage should be clean.

Choose a good feed combination

The feed ration and combination should be determined according to the cattle's body weight and rate of weight gain, so as to achieve balanced and comprehensive nutrition.

Early fattening stage: distillers' grains 6 kg to 8 kg, cornmeal 2 kg to 3 kg, soybean meal 0.75 kg to 1.0 kg, salt 50 g, additives 50 g, silaged corn stalks 20 kg. When starting to feed distillers' grains, add only a small amount, and after 10 days of adaptation, gradually increase the amount fed.

Mid-fattening stage: distillers' grains 10 kg to 15 kg, cornmeal 3 kg, soybean meal 1 kg, salt 50 g, additives 50 g, silaged corn stalks 17 kg to 20 kg.

Late fattening stage: distillers' grains 10 kg to 15 kg, cornmeal 2 kg, soybean meal 0.5 kg to 1 kg (or urea 100 g), salt 50 g, additives 50 g, silaged corn stalks 15 kg to 20 kg.
