It's the perfect time for dahlia cuttings propagation

Dahlia propagation is generally based on cuttings, combined with removing side buds and planting as you cut. When selecting cuttings, leave appropriate buds: keep 2 buds on the upper part, and cut the 3rd bud down to the leaf base and remove the leaves. When inserting into the soil, it should go as deep as the second bud, water thoroughly, and spray with new high-fat film, which can keep warm and moist, isolate pathogen infection, effectively improve the survival rate of dahlias, and use a shade net for shaded cultivation.

After the cuttings survive, management should be strengthened. Combine intertillage and weeding with timely topdressing. When intertilling, take care not to go too deep, so as not to damage the tuberous roots. Support the plants in time to prevent stems and leaves from breaking, and at the same time remove excess side branches to facilitate good ventilation and light in the inner canopy. When the dahlia seedlings grow to about 10-12 cm tall, spray the shoot tips with Flower Promoter No. 3 to inhibit vigorous growth of the shoot tips, making the plants short and sturdy with more flowers.

When dahlia flower buds grow to the size of a peanut, keep 2 buds per branch, remove the other buds, and spray with Flower Stem Strengthener to promote plumper dahlia petals, more brilliant flower colors, and a longer flowering period. (Weightlessness)
