Give your clivia a little bone broth and it will burst out of its pot in half a month - it is just too nourishing

Your own clivia is too reserved and simply will not bloom, while your friend's clivia blooms every year. Besides feeling disappointed, have you ever wondered why? During the critical period when clivia is forming flower buds, as long as you care for it properly, it is not impossible to have it bloom every year. Just give your clivia a little bone water, and your clivia is sure to bloom every year, making your friends envious.
1. Feeding clivia "bone broth"
We all know that bone broth is rich in nutrients and very helpful for human growth, but this is the first time we have heard that bone water benefits clivia blooming. Actually, when this novice gardener first started, I doubted it too, and even specially used the clivia at home as a test subject. There were no results, and I thought it was a scam. Later, after asking an old expert for advice, I realized that my own skill was not enough and I had not used it properly.
2. The "method" for composting fertilizer
The old expert said that before using it, the bones must be processed first. First, clean the bones after eating, and soak them for 1-2 hours. Clivia owners, do not overlook this point. The water used to soak the bones contains nutrients. Normally, using the bone-soaking water to make compost is also fine, and this water must not be wasted.
Then pour the bones and water together into a jar, then add water until it reaches 4/5 of the jar's height. Next, put the lid on, but it is best to leave a small gap and place it in a bright, ventilated spot, so it can receive sunlight for photosynthesis.
3. The "method" for use
Next, spray a little insecticide into the bottle and add some tea leaves. After about 1-2 months, the bone water will completely turn dark brown, and we can take the clear liquid from the top to use. Generally, use bone water and clean water at a ratio of 1:20 to water clivia. In autumn and winter, water the clivia once every 2 weeks, and the clivia will bloom every year, big and brilliant!
However, bone water supplements a relatively single type of phosphorus fertilizer, which is used to promote flowering. During the growing period, clivia also needs nitrogen fertilizer, potassium fertilizer, and many trace elements. So gardening friends can use ready-made Huadongde organic nutrient solution to water it. It can ensure nutrition during the growing period and is also rich in phosphorus, promoting flowering and preserving flowers. After all, not everyone can tolerate the smell of composting fertilizer.
If your clivia at home never blooms, you might as well try this method. You can enjoy the first batch of broth yourself, and leave the second round for the clivia, so it will bloom!
