Hualien and Taitung, Sister Counties, Work Together to Implement a Joint Industrial Promotion and Marketing Strategy

In response to the sharp drop in mainland Chinese tourists after May 20, which has caused problems for tourism and people's livelihoods in both counties, and in order to solve the difficulties faced by Hualien and Taitung counties, Hualien County Magistrate Fu Kun-chi led a team to the Taitung County Government to jointly discuss active and effective countermeasures. Four preliminary conclusions were reached: through the complementary advantages of the two counties, jointly integrate marketing and build Hualien and Taitung into a high-quality resort and tourism paradise.

Magistrate Huang Chien-ting said that through cooperation and joint marketing between Hualien and Taitung counties, in principle this is absolutely a major advantage, but how to respond to the real situation, market demand, the geographical location of Hualien and Taitung, and other factors, overcome difficulties, implement concrete measures, and strike effectively is the most important key factor. He was very pleased to invite the Hualien county magistrate to personally lead an elite team to Taitung this time to discuss specific cooperation models and development strategies for the two counties in the future.

On the 4th, teams from the two counties held the "Hualien-Taitung In-Depth Tourism and Agricultural Specialty Products Joint Marketing Discussion Meeting" in the conference room of the Taitung County Government. After lively discussion by the heads of both sides and the relevant responsible supervisors, four conclusions were reached:

1. Integrate tourism resources, launch in-depth Hualien-Taitung tourism itineraries, and jointly participate in international travel fairs, promotion events, and host familiarization tours. 2. Establish a joint marketing platform for Hualien-Taitung organic, high-quality agricultural specialty products. 3. Plan themed itineraries around international medical care, health checkups, medical aesthetics, wellness, and rural experiences. 4. Link Hualien-Taitung sports resources to promote international events such as road running, cycling, surfing, and triathlon, and jointly create a new brand, "TAIWAN RUN TOP (TRT) Taiwan Run Top."
