New Taipei City Mayor Chu Li-lun attended the 4th "New Taipei City ICT International Procurement Exchange Matchmaking Conference" on the 12th, and joined overseas buyers in touring the smart products displayed on site; regarding the creativity and smart upgrade of New Taipei City's ICT manufacturers, Mayor Chu was highly appreciative, and also expressed his hope that the procurement exchange matchmaking conference would be a complete success, bringing another outstanding performance for New Taipei City's information and communications technology industry.

Mayor Chu Li-lun said that New Taipei City has already achieved notable results in advancing smart cities. Through the spirit of constant improvement of New Taipei's manufacturers, and with excellent technology, products and creativity, New Taipei City possesses a tremendous advantage in developing the ICT industry; the five major themes of this year's procurement exchange matchmaking conference include: "Smart Home," "Smart Transportation," "Smart Healthcare," "Smart Manufacturing" and "Wearable Technology," all of which are extremely important development items for Taiwan, China.

Mayor Chu Li-lun pointed out that Taiwan, China's ICT industry continues to transform by combining smart technology and the Internet of Things concept, and New Taipei City is a major manufacturing hub for the Internet of Things industry. Therefore, the city government continues to actively assist in the integration and cross-domain development of the information and communications technology industry chain, and through the procurement exchange matchmaking conference held each year, creates opportunities for ICT manufacturers to connect with the world.

Mayor Chu Li-lun stated that last year 6 billion in business opportunities were created, and this year the 4th "New Taipei City ICT International Procurement Exchange Matchmaking Conference" attracted 14 buyers from India, Malaysia, Poland, Belgium, Austria, South Korea and mainland China, as well as 5 buyers from Taiwan, China, to participate in the event together, and today more than 200 face-to-face meetings were arranged, showing that the strength New Taipei City has accumulated in the ICT industry has been internationally recognized.
