Flowers That Release Oxygen at Night: Put One in Your Home and Never Suffer from Insomnia Again

Do you suffer from insomnia? People today live at a fast pace, and many often struggle with insomnia. We won't dig into the causes, but we can start with how to get rid of insomnia, for example by growing some plants and flowers at home that can help with sleep. Some flowers release carbon dioxide late at night, while others release oxygen. For those we place indoors, we must choose the ones that release oxygen, as they have a certain effect in helping with sleep. Today I'd like to recommend several kinds of flowers that can release oxygen at night, and I wish everyone a good night's sleep.
Kalanchoe
A flowering plant very well suited to home care; with proper care it can basically bloom all year round. At night, kalanchoe can open the stomata on its leaves to absorb carbon dioxide indoors, making the indoor air fresher.
Kalanchoe care tips:
1. Kalanchoe is drought-tolerant,drought-tolerant, drought-tolerant. Never water it too much, otherwise the roots and leaves will immediately rot.
2. When summer arrives, kalanchoe enters a dormant state; shade it appropriately and prune off the spent flowers.
3. During the bud stage, apply potassium dihydrogen phosphate as a top dressing to make kalanchoe bloom more.
Aloe
I recommend every household keep a pot of aloe, especially in summer, when aloe is so useful: it can protect against sunburn, treat mosquito bites, burns and so on. Moreover, aloe's stomata close during the day and open at night, thereby absorbing the carbon dioxide released through respiration at night.
Aloe care tips:
1. Aloe easily rots at the roots when water accumulates. When planting aloe, it's best to line the bottom of the pot with some breathable clay pebbles or broken tile pieces to improve drainage and avoid root rot from waterlogging.
2. In summer, care for it in the shade to avoid direct sunlight burning the leaves.
Snake Plant
The stomata on snake plant leaves close during the day and open at night to absorb indoor carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful substances, making indoor air fresher. It's a variety that's fine even when kept in the bedroom.
Snake plant care tips:
1. It tolerates shade but also likes light, so it can be cared for indoors or outdoors. But in summer, when the temperature is too high, it's best to keep it indoors and not expose it to strong sun; if kept outdoors, provide shade.
2. Snake plants grow relatively slowly. You can boil a few soybeans and bury them along the edge of the pot to help the snake plant fill out the pot faster.
Guzmania
If you find the previous few too plain, you might as well grow a pot of guzmania. Its colors are nice and it carries an auspicious meaning, and it can absorb a large amount of indoor carbon dioxide at night.
Guzmania care tips:
1. It cannot be exposed to strong sun; avoid burning the leaves.
2. Summer is its vigorous growth period; keep the potting soil slightly moist, and you can spray water around the pot to increase air humidity. But when watering, don't pour water into the center of the leaves, to avoid rotting the core.
