According to statistics from Hsinchu County, as of November this year, 22 communities have been approved under the Rural Regeneration Plan. Hunan Community in Hukou Township and Baoshan Community in Baoshan Township, having successively completed 92 hours of training courses, are about to become the 23rd and 24th approved rural regeneration communities. Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun not only gave strong support, but also emphasized that community members, starting from nothing, spontaneously highlighted their community's strengths, making them the best example of self-help, mutual help, and help from above.

Hunan Community and Baoshan Community in Baoshan Township both began participating in the Rural Regeneration Roots Program courses in the 100th year of the Republic of China (2011). To continue rural development affairs, both communities actively drafted and submitted their community rural regeneration plans to the county government this year. After review meetings, they are about to become rural regeneration communities.

Hukou Township county councilors Chang Chun-feng, Wu Shu-chun, Chen Po-wei and others recently pointed out at the rural regeneration review meeting in Hunan Village that Hunan Community, located in the southeastern area of Hukou Township, has retained a wealth of cultural history and natural ecological resources due to environmental changes, such as military bunker ruins, Hanqing Trail, Liu Ming-chuan, railway bridge pier ruins, and the Benjiwo Creek ecological environment area. Combined with tea plantations, Hukou Old Street and other diverse and rich industrial resources and historic sites, the community has ample potential for development. The community uses the planning concept of "one point, one belt, two major areas" to construct its future blueprint, and continuously reviews the community's potential highlight resources to achieve the community vision of the four major themes of "Vibrant Hakka Farming."

The Hsinchu County Agriculture Department pointed out that the Hunan Village assembly hall in Hukou Township and the Baoshan Village assembly hall in Baoshan Township have successively held two review meetings to examine how the two communities will construct their autonomous development blueprints in the future. The Soil and Water Conservation Bureau and other units also deeply recognize the efforts of the two rural communities and will provide strong assistance.
