Six key technical points for stable production management of laying hens
1. Ensure the quality of the feed, do not suddenly change feed ingredients, do not use insect-infested or moldy ingredients, and use cottonseed and rapeseed meal in appropriate moderation.
2. Prevent stress from occurring, such as sudden changes in feed, disease, or weather, severe fright, and vaccination, and carry out preventive work promptly.
3. Regularly measure egg weight, and check whether feeding management, especially nutrition, is appropriate based on the increase in egg weight; adjust the flock and promptly cull sick and disabled hens, low-producing hens, and hens that have stopped laying.
4. Keep the chicken house air fresh and the environment quiet, comfortable, and stable, so that the hens can lay eggs peacefully.
5. Fix the operating procedures of feeding management; feeding, egg collecting, cleaning, inspection, and manure removal should be carried out as procedures according to a set timetable and should not be changed easily.
6. Appropriate light intensity and light duration; prevent feather pecking and eliminate all factors that may cause feather pecking.
