Taichung Central District Youth Entrepreneurship Base Opens; Taichung City Government: Full Support
In line with the Executive Yuan's "Asia Silicon Valley" promotion plan, the Ministry of Economic Affairs provides innovative venues and cooperation opportunities and strengthens the functions of existing innovation clusters, establishing the "Central District Youth Entrepreneurship Base" at Feng Chia University in Taichung. The Taichung City Government integrates youth entrepreneurship policy resources, links the energy of private incubation units, and provides assistance including consulting advisors, experiential venues and business matchmaking, helping young people realize their entrepreneurial dreams. The base opened on the 23rd, and Taichung Deputy Mayor Chang Kuang-yao attended to cheer on the young people, stressing that the Taichung City Government will give full support to young people in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
Deputy Mayor Chang Kuang-yao praised the central Ministry of Economic Affairs for establishing a youth entrepreneurship base in central Taiwan and for choosing the highly experienced Feng Chia University to run it, which is very important for youth entrepreneurship. The Taichung City Government also proposed the Star-Picking Plan to renovate the former provincial government dormitory - the Audit New Village in West District, the city-designated historic site - Star-Picking Villa in Tanzi District, and the cultural landscape - Guangfu New Village in Wufeng District. Combining the resources of various bureaus and departments, it has created 3 bases for young people to build their dreams, offering professional consultant guidance and on-site visits at relatively low rents, making the bases a starting point for young people's micro-entrepreneurship.
Feng Chia University President Lee Bing-kan mentioned that integrating resources to help young people start businesses is very important. Through the input of forces from the central government, local government, universities and industry, it leads young people in Taiwan to start businesses. He thanked the Executive Yuan for establishing the youth entrepreneurship base at the school. In the future, Feng Chia University will make good use of its linking function to gather entrepreneurial young people, making the base an entrepreneurship base for young people in the central region and also a platform for interaction and exchange with entrepreneurship bases at home and abroad.
