"Yunlin County Golden Green Small Farmers" Demonstration Market is about to open

To promote safe agriculture and market the Golden Green Label, the brand mark for farmers in the Agricultural Capital, the Yunlin County Government will hold the "Golden Green Label Agricultural and Fishery Products Safety Management Plan" demonstration market starting November 25 for 8 consecutive weeks, at the wooden corridor outside the Civil Affairs Hall of the County Government's First Building.

County Magistrate Li Chin-yung stated that the Agricultural Capital 2.0 he proposed upon taking office aims to upgrade Yunlin's agriculture and build a Yunlin where people can live and work in peace and contentment, and that the Agricultural Capital's "Golden Green Label Agricultural and Fishery Products Safety Management Plan" follows the management principle of "from farm to table," with the goal of achieving "eat safely, look for Yunlin."

Director-General of Agriculture Chang Shih-chung stated that the Golden Label of the "Golden Green Label Agricultural and Fishery Products Safety Management Plan" is open to organic (including organic transition period) agricultural producers or aquaculture producers with a production and sales record that have not used drugs. Applicants for the Green Label must all obtain a two-dimensional production traceability barcode and must qualify as registered GAP (Good Agricultural Practice) agricultural producers, aquaculture producers with a production and sales record, or agricultural producers developing toward organic production with no pesticide use at all. The County Government has intensified the inspection frequency for Golden and Green Label holders to safeguard the safety of agricultural and fishery products and promote safe agriculture.

The "Golden Green Label Agricultural and Fishery Products Safety Management Plan" demonstration market will be held from November 25 for 8 consecutive weeks on Fridays from 11:30-13:30, with Golden and Green Label farmers taking turns setting up stalls. Everyone is welcome to come and show support for safe agriculture.
