What are the precautions for growing cabbage in greenhouses?
1. Before planting cabbage in a greenhouse, apply sufficient base fertilizer, mainly decomposed organic fertilizer, mixed with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, to ensure that the cabbage has adequate nutrients for growth and grows vigorously. Combined with an appropriate amount of calcium fertilizer, it can improve the plant's stress resistance and prevent tipburn.
2. Cabbage is a semi-cold-tolerant vegetable. When it has just been transplanted and is recovering, it needs a relatively high temperature. The daytime temperature in the greenhouse needs to be controlled at around 25-28°C, and not lower than 10°C at night, to facilitate rapid root growth of the cabbage. After the plants enter the seedling-strengthening stage, the temperature should be appropriately lowered, maintained at 20-25°C during the day, water should be controlled, and New High Lipid Film should be sprayed on the leaves to protect the plants, isolate pathogen infection, and promote good seedling growth. When cabbage enters the head-forming stage, it has a relatively large demand for phosphorus, potassium, and water, so it should be watered and topdressed in time, and Vegetable Stem Strengthener should be sprayed on the leaves to improve the plant's ability to absorb water and nutrients, promote thick and plump leaves, thick and strong roots and stems, and good growth. The soil should preferably be dry-wet alternating, and heavy watering should be avoided. As the outside temperature rises, gradually increase ventilation, with the daytime maximum not exceeding 28°C.
3. During the growth period of greenhouse cabbage, downy mildew and black rot are relatively likely to occur. Disinfectants plus General Tree Guardian should be sprayed in a timely manner for disinfection and sterilization, so as to eliminate the virus at the germination stage, enhance the cabbage's resistance and immune capacity, and reduce the probability of pathogen damage.
