How to properly control temperature and density in broiler chicken rearing

Controlling temperature and density in broiler chicken rearing

Temperature

In the process of broiler chicken rearing, temperature is an important factor affecting broiler growth. Before raising broilers, pay attention to the site selection of the poultry farm. First of all, the poultry farm should be located in a well-ventilated place. As is well known, poultry farms produce a highly pungent odor, and this odor not only damages the surrounding environmental quality but also affects broiler growth. Ventilation can not only remove the pungent odor and improve environmental quality, but also regulate the temperature inside the house to a certain extent.

The poultry farm should also be located in a relatively dry place. Moist air contains more various bacteria, which will cause broilers to contract various diseases, and humidity also affects temperature regulation. The farm should be located in a sunny spot, as sunlight can regulate temperature, and the ultraviolet rays in sunlight have a disinfecting effect.

Temperature must be adjusted specifically according to the needs of the broilers' growth stages. Generally, each stage has a suitable temperature range, and only by controlling the temperature within the appropriate range can the optimal growth state of broilers be achieved. This is because too high a temperature will affect the normal metabolism of chicks, producing adverse stress reactions manifested as reduced feed intake, increased water consumption and slow growth; while too low a temperature will cause diseases such as colds. A certain number of thermometers should be installed in the poultry farm to accurately grasp the temperature conditions and facilitate timely adjustment.

Density

Rearing density is also an important factor affecting broiler growth. The rearing density of broilers not only affects temperature but also affects the humidity of the farm. So-called density is the number of broilers raised per square meter. If the rearing density is too low, it will cause a waste of resources and reduce economic income, but it will not have much effect on the broilers. If the broiler rearing density is too high, the normal activities of the broilers will be restricted, the air quality inside the chicken house will be very poor, and various diseases will easily be triggered, or even death, seriously affecting economic benefits. The rearing density of broilers should be adjusted accordingly according to the different growth stages of the broilers.
