Key management points for winter-spring greenhouse tomatoes should not be neglected
Tomatoes are vegetables that love strong light, and insufficient light can also cause flower and fruit drop. In protected cultivation, a reflective screen can be hung on the north side of the greenhouse to increase light, and planting should also be appropriately sparse. Applying photosynthetic nutrient film fertilizer can help plants absorb large amounts of light fertilizer, light energy, and light, is compatible with conventional fertilizers, and supplies nutrients to support plant growth and development to the limit. One application benefits the whole year.
When transplanting, carry soil with the seedlings to avoid damaging the roots, which helps them recover from transplanting, and adjust the plants in time. During the growing period, measures such as flower and fruit thinning, pruning and shoot removal, and leaf and growing tip removal can be used to manually adjust the balance of growth and development, and timely control pests and diseases, so as to promote flower and fruit retention.
After transplanting, pay attention to heat preservation, raise soil temperature and air temperature, and prevent damage caused by excessively low temperatures. In winter-spring greenhouse tomato cultivation, maintain 25°C during the day and 15°C at night during the seedling stage to prevent excessive vegetative growth or the formation of aged seedlings. During the peak fruiting period, as the outside temperature rises, increase ventilation to prevent high-temperature damage. Under sufficient light conditions, maintain the air temperature inside the greenhouse at 25°C-26°C during the day and 15°C-17°C at night, day and night soil temperature at 23°C, and relative air humidity at 45%-55%.
Strengthen water and fertilizer management. Water frequently with small amounts, avoid waterlogging in the field, and prevent soil drought or excessively high humidity. Use formula fertilization techniques to ensure sufficient nutrient supply and avoid over-application of nitrogen fertilizer. Also spray vegetable and fruit stem-strengthening agent once each during the young fruit stage and the expansion stage to enhance the plant's water and fertilizer uptake capacity, increase fruit yield and quality, reduce the fruit drop rate, and decrease the incidence of cracked fruit, stiff fruit, and deformed fruit.
