How to grow strawberries safely? New green control technology provides the answer
Around New Year's Day, it is the season when greenhouse strawberries ripen one after another. The mellow, sweet strawberries attract citizens to go picking. For this reason, the city's plant protection department has vigorously promoted new green control technology, which prevents disease and boosts yield while letting everyone pick safer, more reassuring strawberries.
Over the past three years, the Municipal Plant Protection Station has carried out field trials of 5% amino-oligosaccharin on a variety of crops in the Beijing suburbs, achieving good results. Among them, it joined with the Changping District Plant Protection Station to carry out related trials on strawberries, applying the agent twice 2-3 days after strawberry planting, once at the early flowering stage, once at the young fruit stage, and once at the fruit swelling stage. The results showed that applying 5% amino-oligosaccharin significantly promoted strawberry growth vigor, induced disease resistance and yield. Under the same field water and fertilizer management conditions, during the growing period the treated strawberries increased 9.3% in plant height, 12.3% in leaf number and 4.8% in stem diameter, and applying 5% amino-oligosaccharin at the early flowering stage achieved 45.45% control efficacy against powdery mildew. In measurements of single fruit weight of strawberries, the treated group's single fruit weight increased by 19.61%, showing a clear yield-increasing effect.
????■What is amino-oligosaccharin
Amino-oligosaccharin is prepared from chitosan extracted from the shells of marine crustaceans through bio-enzymatic hydrolysis engineering. It induces the plant body to improve its own immunity to the outside world, thereby resisting disease and stress (cold damage, drought) and promoting healthy crop growth. It is a new type of multifunctional "plant immune elicitor." When adverse environments infect plants, amino-oligosaccharin induces crops to produce related proteins and biochemical substances, changes in phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, β-1,3-glucanase, chitinase, peroxidase, phytoalexins and other related proteins, thereby resisting the invasion and development of pathogenic bacteria and stress factors and reducing and preventing the occurrence of disease.
■The 6 major functions of amino-oligosaccharin
◆Induced stress resistance: cold resistance, frost resistance, waterlogging resistance, high temperature resistance.
◆Disease resistance: certain induced resistance to fungal diseases.
◆Promotes growth, promotes rooting, protects seedlings, protects leaves.
◆Improves quality, raises the marketable rate: changes in appearance, changes in organic acid and vitamin content.
◆Yield increase: has a yield-increasing effect on many crops such as grains, vegetables and fruit trees.
◆Improves the storage tolerance of agricultural products.
?■Correct use of amino-oligosaccharin
Use amino-oligosaccharin at key crop growth stages, with a recommended concentration of 800-1000 times, diluted with water and sprayed 3-4 times; for grain crops and melons and vegetables, seed treatment is best, with 50-500 times dilution for seed dressing/soaking.
If used on rice and wheat, the appropriate application period is the seedling recovery stage or regreening stage, tillering stage, jointing stage and grain-filling stage.
If used on fruit trees, the appropriate application period is the flower bud swelling stage, flowering stage, young fruit stage and fruit swelling stage.
If used on melons and vegetables, the appropriate application period is from the seedling stage, flowering stage and fruit stage.
If stress such as cold damage occurs, it is best to apply the agent in advance, sprayed at 750-800 times, once every 7 days.
Use Haolisen dry powder to prevent strawberry diseases, safe and non-toxic
In the past, whenever disease problems were found on strawberries, producers first thought of using a sprayer diluted with water for spray control. Now, technicians from the Changping District Plant Protection and Quarantine Station and Beijing Zanfeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. have carried out trials of the strawberry Haolisen dry powder agent at 6 plantations in Changping District, including Hongcheng Meilinjian, Maofasheng and Tianrunyuan. In the trials, technicians used a dedicated dusting machine to directly dust the dry powder inside the greenhouse. The dry powder suspended in the air, forming a mist-like cloud that slowly settled.
The main components of Haolisen powder are calcium superphosphate and inorganic salts, which have a good inhibitory effect on various bacteria, fungi and viruses. It is safe and non-toxic, leaves no residue, and can effectively reduce the use of chemical pesticides, safeguarding the food safety of strawberries.
?■Advantages of dry powder agents
◆Dry powder agents require no dilution with water during use; they are applied directly with a dry powder dusting machine, making operation simple and saving time and effort.
◆Compared with traditional agents that need to be diluted with water, dry powder agents are sprayed more evenly during application. Dusted into the air, the dry powder settles naturally and can adhere evenly to the crop surface, better exerting its efficacy and achieving the best control effect.
◆Directly dusting dry powder effectively controls the environmental humidity of crops in the greenhouse and reduces the occurrence of various diseases.
◆Wide range of application: strawberries, vegetables, fruits, flowers and grain crops can all use it.
????■Precautions
If the greenhouse area is large and dry powder needs to be dusted multiple times, it must be prepared strictly according to the pesticide instructions.
When dusting dry powder, ensure that the powder output is even, so as to achieve the best control effect.
Various agents are affected differently by the environment. Read the pesticide instructions carefully and strictly pay attention to the temperature, humidity, application situation and use of biological natural enemies in the greenhouse, so as to prevent phytotoxicity and various unnecessary losses.
When dusting powder, choose to operate when there is no wind as far as possible.
Choose pesticides that are non-toxic to humans and livestock as far as possible, to reduce the harm of pesticides to the health of operators. While safeguarding the quality environment of agricultural products, protect the ecological environment. Li Jin, Changping District Pesticide Management Station
