First youth creativity injection: Chiayi City community development achievement exhibition opens with great fanfare

The Chiayi City Community Development Joint Achievement Exhibition opened on the 11th at the Culture Square. The event included community development sites, community walking tours and local knowledge promotion, and youth community development proposals. Participating units included 6 elementary schools, 7 community development associations, 11 cultural associations and a community college. Most notably, there were also 14 youth action proposals showcasing creativity on site, including the Pizitou community board game and creative winemaking DIY, injecting youthful new vitality into the achievement exhibition and attracting many visitors!

This year's Community Development Joint Achievement Exhibition was combined with the first Youth Creativity Awards ceremony. Chiayi City Mayor Twu Shiing-jer presented awards one by one in recognition, expressing the hope that more young people will return to Chiayi and join together in public affairs and community development.

"Build your own community yourself!" Mayor Twu Shiing-jer said that Chiayi City community development brings together the strength of the old, middle-aged and young generations, with outstanding results, even appearing in a Japanese architectural magazine and gaining international recognition. In addition to bringing together the emotions of local residents and showcasing the unique traditional characteristics of communities, this year youth creativity was included for the first time.

Mayor Twu Shiing-jer emphasized that young friends have boundless creativity and combine it with unique local culture. For example, Zheng Nai-wen, who won the gold award, launched guided tours of the old city hall, film screenings and a local market, bringing historic buildings to life; the Anlanju team used English to guide tours of Chiayi City, raising the visibility of international tourism. This proactive, directly participatory public opinion allowed him to see the spirit of Chiayi City as a democratic holy land.

A total of 14 proposals were selected for Chiayi City's first Youth Cultural Action Competition. The Anlanju team's "Welcome home - Chiayi City English Guided Tour Project," Zheng Nai-wen's "Bringing the Old City Hall to Life - Old Chiayi City Hall Guided Tours, Film Screenings and Local Market," and Huang Hung-ju and Chang Yu-ling's Pizitou community "Live Out Hope, Move with Passion" project jointly won the gold award. There were 4 silver awards and 7 best creativity awards.
