Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chih-chien: "Hsinchu City Business Startup Convenience Loan" Launched

The Hsinchu City Government, in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Fund of Taiwan and Taiwan Business Bank, has launched the "Hsinchu City Business Startup Convenience Loan" program. Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated on the 12th that the "Hsinchu City Business Startup Convenience Loan" offers the best loan scheme in all of Taiwan. In addition to general companies being able to borrow up to 10 million yuan, this year the loan limit has been specially raised to 12 million yuan for the solar photovoltaic industry, and individuals installing solar photovoltaic facilities can also apply. The program strongly supports small and medium enterprises and helps small business owners realize their entrepreneurial dreams. Members of the public in need are welcome to apply enthusiastically.

Mayor Lin Chih-chien stated that the "Hsinchu City Business Startup Convenience Loan" has set three "firsts." First, general companies are not restricted by industry, and the maximum loan amount is 10 million yuan, the highest among all special loans in Taiwan. In addition, for solar photovoltaic businesses, the maximum loan is 12 million yuan, also the best terms in all of Taiwan. It is also the first in northern Taiwan to offer loans to individuals installing solar facilities, with a maximum loan amount of 600,000 yuan.

The Department of Economic Development stated that the "Hsinchu City Small and Medium Enterprise and Individual Foundation Loan" (Hsinchu City Business Startup Convenience Loan) has added two new loan targets: companies and business entities registered in the city and engaged in the planning, design and installation of solar photovoltaic systems, which are offered a preferential loan of 12 million yuan, currently the highest single loan amount nationwide; and city residents aged 20 to 65 who install rooftop-type solar photovoltaic equipment on buildings, who can borrow up to 600,000 yuan, repayable over a maximum of seven years.

In addition to the two newly added loan targets, the original loans for general companies and business entities will continue to accept applications. General companies have no industry restrictions and can borrow up to 10 million yuan, currently the highest amount among enterprise loan programs launched by counties and cities nationwide.
