Keelung and Lianjiang Leaders Sign Memorandum of Exchange and Cooperation, Looking Forward to Creating a Win-Win

Keelung Mayor Lin Yu-chang and Lianjiang County Magistrate Liu Tseng-ying signed the "Keelung-Lianjiang Exchange and Cooperation Memorandum" on the 17th to strengthen cooperation and exchange between the two places in the future. Mayor Lin Yu-chang emphasized the hope of establishing a regular mutual visit and exchange mechanism, which in the future will certainly bring into play a multiplying effect of one plus one being greater than two.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang pointed out that Keelung and Matsu have a very close relationship, with regular flights connecting them, and Keelung handles Matsu's garbage. The two places share a deep friendship, and many Matsu compatriots live in Keelung. This cooperation includes aspects such as education and culture, especially in industrial exchange. Matsu has excellent fine liquor, which can be paired with Keelung's delicious seafood. Fisherman's pot paired with good Matsu liquor is truly superb.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang pointed out that after the memorandum is signed, it will certainly bring into play a multiplying effect of one plus one being greater than two. Mainly, a regular mutual visit and exchange mechanism will be established between the two sides, strengthening mutual contact and emotional exchange, and a dedicated window will be set up to assist each other in exchanges regarding tourism, culture, education and other aspects between the two counties and cities.

County Magistrate Liu Tseng-ying pointed out that Keelung has the best food in Taiwan, and Matsu has white liquor renowned throughout the world; the two are an excellent pairing.
