Millettia reticulata Cultivation Techniques

Millettia reticulata (Millettia reticulata) is mostly propagated by sowing, though some also use cuttings and division. For sowing propagation, when the pods change from green to dark brown at fruit maturity, they should be harvested promptly; otherwise the pods twist and split, and the seeds are easily ejected and lost. The collected seeds are spread out in the sun to dry for several days, and after drying they are stored in an airtight container over winter. Millettia reticulata seeds belong to the hard-coated seed type, so before spring sowing they should be soaked in warm water for 1 to 2 days to soften the seed coat and allow the seeds to absorb enough water; then they are removed and placed in a warm place to germinate, and can be sown once the seeds show white sprouts.
