Pothos is a very common flowering plant these days, and we see it in many places. It can not only green the environment, but also purify the air, absorb formaldehyde, and it is easy to keep alive. It is a potted plant that people really love

After keeping pothos for three years, the leaves are sparse and turning yellow. Although it does not die, it still looks very ugly. Put a few grains of this thing in, and from then on it bursts out of the pot, with branches and leaves climbing several loops around the corner of the wall, and the home turns into a small forest.

Pothos is mainly a foliage plant, so if you want to improve its ornamental value, you have to start with its leaves. If you want it to be lush and leafy, you can bury a few grains of urea or cooked soybeans in the potting soil to supplement nitrogen fertilizer, so it grows vigorously.

Urea

Urea is very widely used in crop cultivation. Moreover, you can bury urea around the flower pot. When it meets water, it breaks down and can provide nutrients to the flower roots, making the leaves more rich and lush. The flower roots grow thick and strong, and new shoots keep emerging, so it will burst out of the pot and keep growing, and from then on you can say goodbye to yellow leaves.

Beginner tip

Urea can be buried once or twice a month during the peak growing season of pothos. Just bury a few grains each time, and keep it some distance from the flower roots to prevent root burn.

Also, you can bury it in the evening and water the next day. The nutrients slowly seep down and supply the flower roots, playing the role of supplementing nitrogen fertilizer.

However, in the hot summer, do not fertilize pothos in July and August. It easily burns the roots and causes root rot. Not only will it not burst out of the pot, it is also easy to die.

Soybeans

If you do not have urea at home, you can also use soybeans, because soybeans are a common daily food and can be used casually without specially buying them. But before using soybeans, they must be cooked, otherwise if thrown into the flower soil they easily sprout and grow seedlings, and then they cannot play their role.

Bury a few cooked soybeans around the flower roots each month. After that, they will continuously release fertilizer effects, supply the flower roots, make the leaves more emerald green and glossy, and keep the branches and leaves growing.

Beginner tip

For cooked soybeans, bury 3 to 5 grains each time. Do not use too many, as it also easily burns the roots.
