Chen Ruei-ching, Director of the Nantou County Agriculture Department, called on tea farmers to actively join the ranks of origin labeling and production traceability QR CODE, to enhance competitiveness and add value to physical products, so that consumers can also purchase high-quality, safe and non-toxic premium black tea through label and production traceability certification.

In order to maintain the black tea industry in Yuchi Township and enhance its competitiveness, since March of the 100th year (2011), the Yuchi Township Office has actively promoted the origin certification label. To date, more than 200,000 "Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Origin Certification Labels" have been issued. On the 17th, the Township Office held a "Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Origin Certification Label" marketing press conference in the courtyard, hosted by Township Chief Chen Chin-lun, who together with the Director-General of the Yuchi Township Farmers' Association and the top 3 tea farmers jointly promoted the Sun Moon Lake Black Tea Origin Certification Label. Chief Chen called on consumers to recognize the Sun Moon Lake Black Tea origin label and to purchase more high-quality, non-toxic premium Sun Moon Lake black tea guaranteed by the label certification of administrative agencies. In the future, with the efforts of young farmers returning home, it is hoped that they will develop methods of brewing black tea using various coffee brewing techniques such as smart drippers, siphon methods and pour-over, to showcase the different flavors of black tea, thereby attracting younger generations to drink tea, driving a new black tea culture, and increasing the township's black tea commercial sales channels and business opportunities.

Wang Ching-feng of Chaowu Tea House, who began applying for the origin label in the 100th year (2011), stated that the better the industry develops, the more beneficial it is to consumers, and expressed hope that public agencies can encourage more tea farmers to participate, making industry development more complete.
