The Maritime and Port Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held its fifth anniversary celebration on the morning of the 1st, during which it held the unveiling ceremony for the nation's first "Lighthouse Artifact Museum," publicly presented awards to 18 outstanding "passenger ship and passenger-carrying small boat operators with excellent operational services" and "port facility security inspection and evaluation excellence" businesses, and carried out the heartwarming public welfare activity "Caring for My Hometown, Zero Distance in Information," donating 55 computers to children in remote areas, conveying care and dedication to remote corners through practical action.

In order to revitalize the use of space, the Maritime and Port Bureau specifically combined traditional lighthouse artifacts, craftsman techniques and the connotations of historical and cultural heritage, and further integrated modern innovative technology, cultural creativity and space revitalization elements to build a "Lighthouse Artifact Museum" full of historical traces. The museum fully preserves lighthouse apparatus from different eras of development and evolution, and every mottled trace on the lighthouse objects tells a historical memory, and further represents the outstanding craftsman skills of lighthouse technicians. Among the precious artifacts on display is the incandescent mantle lamp invented by Mr. Jiang in 1904, which could emit a strong light after being lit and was the best light source for lighthouses a hundred years ago.

The Maritime and Port Bureau stated that in the future it plans to cooperate with the Keelung City Government to connect attractions near the Lighthouse Artifact Museum, such as "Qiuzishan Lighthouse," "Keelung Port Construction Monument," "Xiandong Rock," "Fort Zeelandia (Baimiweng Fort)," and "Keelung Lighthouse," into a tourism corridor, starting from the new thinking of "port and coastal tourism" of an island nation, hoping to invigorate Keelung's local resources, and at the same time, from the five major dimensions of "shipping safety, maritime growth, international connection, maritime culture, and ocean tourism," grasp future development opportunities and achieve the policy goal of "prospering the nation through the ocean."
