Right now is peak lychee season, they're sweet and juicy, I don't think anyone dislikes eating them, right? Surely someone will say lychees don't cost 20 yuan per jin now, what I want to say is, when they first came out, lychees sold for 30 yuan per jin, which really is a bit expensive. After eating them I can't bear to throw away the seeds, so what do I do with them? Just plant them in pots, they're quite pretty!

After eating the lychees, we find that the seeds are actually not small, and every time after eating, there's always flesh stuck to them. Before potting them, we need to clean them up properly first.

Potting lychee seeds and care:

After eating the lychees, choose a few plump lychee seeds, pick off the flesh on them, wash them clean with water, then soak them in clean water for about 4 days, changing the water every day, until the seeds crack and white sprout points emerge.

Once the seeds have cracked, you can put them in a flower pot to plant. The soil should be loose and well-draining. After planting, sprinkle a thin layer of soil on top, water thoroughly, then just wait quietly for them to sprout.

The temperature is suitable now. Under scattered-light care, new sprouts will emerge from the soil in about 7 days, and in about 2 weeks new leaves will grow. When the seedlings first come up they are red, and the leaves will gradually turn green.

Once the leaves have grown, you can let them get some sun, then keep the soil slightly moist every day, just don't let water accumulate. They're very easy to care for, and potting them also adds a novel touch.
