Pothos is very easy to grow, but if the soil keeps hardening, its leaves will either droop or it simply will not grow, and it may even die. That is still pretty sad, right? Before watering, put one tablet on the soil surface, and the potted plant's soil will not harden, the leaves will not turn yellow, and it will grow like crazy!

We usually water flowers mostly with tap water, but using it this way for a long time really makes the soil easy to harden. Also, improper fertilizing of potted flowers easily makes the soil alkaline and hard. The final result is that the flower roots cannot breathe, rot, and die.

Actually, one small trick can improve this somewhat: the small vitamin C tablets that can be found casually at home. Using them to grow pothos or other acid-loving flowers is quite good, and the method is simple.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, and when combined with water it can dissolve into it very quickly. It is originally very helpful to our human body. Most households keep it on hand, and if not, buying it costs only about 2 yuan for a bottle of 100 tablets.

It is also very simple to use

1. When we water pothos, put one vitamin C tablet in the water. It can effectively remove chlorine from the water and also prevent soil from hardening. Or before watering, crush one tablet and put it on the potting soil, then water, and that also works.

2. Vitamin C can be used to improve soil pH. The method is to crush vitamin C, then dilute it in clean water. It can also be used to water acid-loving flowers and plants such as jasmine, gardenia, and camellia, and can promote blooming.

Of course, before watering pothos or other potted plants, we had better let tap water sit for 2~3 days before use. Also, if the potting soil is hardened, do not water directly. Be sure to loosen the soil along the edge of the flower pot before watering, and be careful not to damage the plant roots when loosening the soil.
