Upon entering the Zhengqi Pavilion, Professor Chen Wen-hui of National Cheng Kung University personally served as the guide. The "Zhengqi Pavilion" uses elements of the ancient city walls of the prefectural city to lead visitors through time to the entrance of the prefectural city - Fort Zeelandia - to admire scenes such as "Inheriting the Past and Opening the Future: Tainan Wengcheng," "Taiwan Mikado Pheasant Roaming Among Taiwan Orchids," "First Academy in Taiwan: Cultivating Elite Taiwan Orchids," and "Tainan Takes Root, Taiwan Orchids Take Flight."

It is worth mentioning that this year's orchid show adopted the theme "DISCOVER SUSTAINABLE ORCHIDS: Tainan Taiwan Orchids, Enduring and Thriving." The main feature, "Taiwan Mikado Pheasant Roaming Among Taiwan Orchids," stands about six meters tall and not only blends the jiannian art technique of Tainan temples and the design elements of temple-fair decorative pavilions, but the "Taiwan Mikado Pheasant" arranged from thousands of orchids also moves on a schedule, pushing the static display toward a dynamic presentation.

Premier Lin Chuan said that the 2017 Taiwan International Orchid Show was held very successfully and the displays at the venue were also very splendid. He encouraged the personnel participating in the event, saying that the intangible gains from holding the orchid show would far exceed the tangible returns.
