Spring Journey in Chiayi City - Handmade Bread and Pizza in the Rural Red Tile House Community

In spring, all things renew, and as the trees flourish, the Jiayou Railway Bikeway in Chiayi City features a verdant green tunnel stretching for several miles, a delightful and soothing sight. On both sides, the wide farmland sways with new seedlings in the wind, bringing comfort to the heart. The Red Tile House Community nestled within invites everyone to this beautiful setting on April 2 to experience the different charms of the season together.

The Red Tile House Community Development Association in West District, Chiayi City, besides having beautiful scenery, has also established a citizen farm, allowing urban dwellers to get close to the land and learn to develop a kiln oven built collaboratively by community volunteers, using longan wood as firewood to kiln-bake natural yeast bread and pizza, a combination of old-time flavors and Western cuisine.

Bicycles (bring your own or borrow from the association) to leisurely ride through the green tunnel, handmade bread, pizza DIY, waiting for you to join in the fun. Registration has already begun.
