"Love for the Pomelo Flower Countryside Pomelo Flower Arts Festival" kicks off on April 1 in Miaoli County

The "Love for the Pomelo Flower Countryside Pomelo Flower Arts Festival" in Xihu Township, Miaoli County will be held on April 1 and 2, featuring wonderful arts and cultural performances, parent-child handmade DIY, hiking activities and sales of local agricultural specialties, with local ingredients used in dishes to launch a "Fragrant Pomelo Flower Banquet" and "Pomelo Flower Lunch Boxes." Chen Pinshan, Secretary-General of the Miaoli County Government, said that April coincides with the blooming of pomelo flowers, and invited visitors from all over to come to Xihu to admire the beauty of the pomelo blossoms, taste local delicacies, and experience Hakka cultural charm.

On the event days of April 1 and 2, the organizers will arrange shuttle buses respectively in front of THSR Miaoli Station and Miaoli Railway Station, allowing people joining the event to ride free of charge to the event venue. At the pre-event press conference, Xihu Township Mayor Gu Muxian said that in order to let visitors experience an arts festival different from previous years, an electric tour vehicle is being introduced for the first time this year, and the public is welcome to take a free trial ride. In addition, in conjunction with the Hakka Affairs Center, a "Pomelo Grove Banquet Fashion Show" will be held, with a runway show of creative Hakka clothing. It is the first fashion show in the country held under pomelo flower trees, and visitors are invited to come and watch.

This year's event takes "Floral Fragrance Draws Pomelo" as its theme. On April 1 and 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hudong Multi-Functional Activity Center, there will be song and dance performances by local community groups, sales of agricultural specialties from local leisure industries, parent-child handmade DIY, and student ceramics and oil painting exhibitions.
