The Symptoms and Control Methods of Monk Fruit Fruit Cracking Disease

Fruit cracking disease is a physiological disorder, and it ismonk fruitan important physiological disease occurring in tissue-cultured seedlings, causing relatively large losses.

Symptoms: It mainly occurs near the fruit ripening stage; the peel and flesh split longitudinally, and the fruit loses its commercial value.

Pathogen: It is a physiological disease, caused by adverse factors such as soil moisture imbalance and rapid temperature changes.

Disease characteristics: The disease is severe when high temperatures occur during the fruit expansion stage; orchards with soil moisture imbalance, physiological calcium deficiency, nutrient imbalance from excessive nitrogen fertilizer application, and severe pest and disease damage have more fruit cracking.

Control methods

(1) Strengthen orchard management, apply more decomposed organic fertilizer, and increase calcium nutrition in the soil; irrigate rationally, and in combination with land preparation, apply lime to strengthen tree vigor and improve the tree's disease resistance. Prune scientifically, cut off diseased and disabled branches and dense branches, adjust ventilation and light penetration, pay attention to orchard drainage measures during the rainy season, carry out shallow tillage and weeding, and maintain appropriate temperature and humidity. In combination with pruning, clean up the orchard to reduce sources of the disease.

(2) In hot and dry seasons, appropriately retaining a small amount of weeds in the orchard can help preserve water, lower temperature and increase humidity, and regulate soil moisture.

(3) Strengthen the prevention and control of pests and diseases.

(4) In combination with applying flower-promoting fertilizer and fruit-strengthening fertilizer, promptly supplement calcium to the plants; active calcium can be diluted with water and used to drench the roots, and Guobulie can be used for foliar spraying, with foliar spraying of boron-molybdenum-zinc-calcium at 1500 times dilution.
