2017 Penghu International Sea Fireworks Festival - Pengfang Night Makes a Dazzling Debut

The long-awaited, highly anticipated opening ceremony of the "2017 Penghu International Sea Fireworks Festival" took place on the evening of the 20th, officially kicking off a two-month annual tourism extravaganza featuring 22 shows in total. About 35,000 people gathered on site to enjoy the romantic fireworks. County Magistrate Chen Kuang-fu was present to join the entire crowd in chanting the slogan "Penghu Makes the World Fall in Love" for the countdown. The dazzling fireworks were brilliant and spectacular, declaring the annual fireworks festival officially underway.

County Magistrate Chen Kuang-fu, on behalf of the county government, presented a letter of appreciation to Jiang Jian-ting, general manager of Ever Rich Duty Free Shop, thanking the subsidiary Pengfang for its long-term support of the Penghu Fireworks Festival. He also stated that the Fireworks Festival is Penghu's largest and most well-known tourism event, now in its fifteenth year. In addition to domestic teams participating, international fireworks design teams from Japan, South Korea, France, China, and Malaysia were also invited to join in, sharing beautiful fireworks with everyone. Penghu has warm and enthusiastic locals, plump and delicious seafood, and beautiful scenery, and is also the world's most beautiful bay. He hoped that all visitors could explore Penghu in depth and experience the wonderful scenery of each township. All friends and locals from home and abroad are welcome to come and enjoy the show.

After the fireworks display ended, at 9:30 PM, the county government held the Fireworks Festival palanquin street parade at the county government square. County Magistrate Chen Kuang-fu lit the "starting cannon," and 22 palanquins set off to parade through the city. Various dazzling electronic palanquins and martial music troupes, bursting with color, attracted large numbers of tourists and locals who stopped to watch and take photos. The atmosphere was lively, making the scene feel like a bustling carnival.
