Nantou Sports and Tourism Carnival kicks off on the 27th, everyone is welcome to come and join the fun

Exercise and sightseeing at the same time? The Nantou County Government will hold the "2017 Nantou Sports and Tourism Carnival" on the 27th and 28th at the Liyu Lake Scenic Area in Puli Township. The 2-day, 1-night event will include a road run, on-water canoe races and a carnival, and will also incorporate indigenous culture, local cultural tourism and more. On the 9th, the Nantou County Government held a press conference for the 2nd "2017 Nantou Sports and Tourism Carnival" at the Liyu Lake Scenic Area. Deputy Magistrate Chen Zheng-sheng personally got into the water to paddle a canoe to promote the event, hoping that through this event they can promote the trend of sports tourism and boost the development of the sports tourism industry, while also inviting people from all over the country to experience sports with tourism and leisure.

Deputy Magistrate Chen Zheng-sheng said that the Sports and Tourism Carnival combines education, culture, tourism and leisure. The road run also has 2.2K, 10K and 17.6K categories, as well as water sports, making it very suitable for parents and children to take part together. Registration for the event is open until May 12, and everyone is welcome to sign up enthusiastically, experience sports tourism and leisure activities, and enjoy a relaxing time. In addition, the public can also take part in the self-built boat activity, assembling bamboo and buckets into a boat to experience a different kind of on-water sports fun.

This year's 2-day, 1-night event is exciting and rich in content, including a 2.2K creative parade fun competition, a 10K individual road run group, a 21K trail run, a 17.6K relay race, a professional canoe challenge group on the water, a general group and a leisure group, and a self-built boat race. Among them, the boat-building race combines environmental awareness and fun; participants must use recycled buckets, bamboo tubes and ropes and other materials to unleash their creativity and build a boat, and can also get into the water to experience the boat they made with their own hands. The event is expected to be spectacular.
