Nantou County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen Presents Certifications, Strongly Promoting Quality Good-Food B&Bs

The Nantou County B&B Tourism Association held the "Nantou Good-Food B&B Certification Ceremony" on the 10th at the Jingyuan Leisure Resort in Yuchi Township, with more than 200 tourism associations and B&B operators gathered together. County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen attended to present the certifications on behalf of the county. He stated that quality B&Bs combined with healthy local cuisine certified by SGS are moving Nantou step by step toward its goal of becoming a tourism capital, and he hopes tourism operators will continue to improve service quality and the living environment to create the best possible major tourism county.

The "Good-Food B&B" certification provides B&Bs with natural and healthy local ingredients, allowing visitors to taste authentic flavors while learning about them through explanations by B&B operators, and also to understand the culture and characteristics of Nantou's 13 townships and towns. Only after on-site visits by SGS of Taiwan Inspection Technology Company and passing 8 selection criteria, in line with the spirit of the two core axes of "cuisine" and "service," can the certification mark be obtained.

This year, a total of 7 B&Bs passed: Puli Township's Shuitianyi Artist B&B, Renzhen Life B&B, and Xiluchuan B&B; Yuchi Township's Shengbaoluo Manor; and Ren'ai Township's Qingjing Florence Holiday Villa, Vienna B&B, and Jianqing Garden Holiday Villa. The ceremony was hosted by Peng Chengyu, chairman of the Nantou County B&B Tourism Association, and the certifications were presented by County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen. It is expected that another 15 B&Bs will be assisted in obtaining certification this year.

County Magistrate Lin Ming-chen stated that in order to develop toward becoming a tourism capital, Nantou's hardware construction will continue to innovate, create more tourist attractions, and pair with qualified B&Bs, hotels, and tourism operators, so that visitors can experience the finest Nantou, thereby attracting more tourists and pushing Nantou tourism onto the international stage.
