"Cherish Chaojing, Fish Joy Keelung" Chaojing Conservation Area Anniversary Celebration and Parent-Child Fish Fry Release Event, linked with the Taiwan-Ryukyu International Sailing Race, with more than 60 vessels of various types heading to the waters near Keelung Islet to release 100,000 fish fry, gathering on the morning of the 14th at the Bisha Fishing Harbor Seaview Plaza. Mayor Lin Yu-chang encouraged partners from all sectors for their dedication and efforts, and stated on the spot that in June he would personally dive on a chosen day to visit the Chaojing Conservation Area and see the current restoration status.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang first personally presented a flag to the Ocean Patrol Team, declaring the determination to protect the ocean. Before the carefully arranged departure, Mayor Lin Yu-chang and the people participating in the fish fry release lined up in a straight line to celebrate the first anniversary of the Chaojing Conservation Area, with a drone recording this important moment, and then proceeded to the Taiwan-Ryukyu International Sailing Race to sound the whistle and start the race.

Mayor Lin Yu-chang pointed out that Keelung led the nation by establishing the Chaojing Conservation Area through cooperation with the fishermen's association and fishermen. In just one year, the ocean's self-healing and restoration energy has been seen to be very strong. Not only have precious marine creatures not seen for a long time returned to the Chaojing Bay, but according to reports from conservationists and divers, the underwater ecology and marine resources in the area have become more abundant.

The Department of Economic Development said that this year's fish fry release event coincides with the anniversary of the Chaojing Conservation Area and Mother's Day activities, making it even more meaningful. Parent-child groups from various places and representatives from industry, government, and academia were invited to take 34 vessels of various types, including recreational fishing boats and yachts, and together with the sailing race, 27 sailboats from Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and other places sailed out together to the waters near Keelung Islet to release fish fry. It is expected to release about 100,000 yellowfin seabream and red seabream fry in total, hoping that through this release action, the depleted marine fishery resources can gradually regain vitality, establish the public's concept of marine conservation, and make marine resources sustainable and endless.
