Out and about, need to relieve your internal water pressure but worried the public restroom won't be comfortable? Come to Taipei City's Zhongcheng Park and you won't have that worry - you can "release" both physical and mental stress at once! To provide visitors with a more comfortable toilet environment, the Parks and Street Lights Office of the Taipei City Public Works Department transformed the original public toilet and fountain machine room at Zhongcheng Park into a "stress-relief public toilet," achieving the effect of soothing body and mind and reducing stress!

Located in the "Tianmu shopping district" in Shilin District, Zhongcheng Park covers 1.4 hectares. After 8 months of renovation work, it reopened in May last year, allowing visitors not only to feel the leisure of lush greenery but also to experience a one-of-a-kind romantic music-themed park. In the center of the park, a large "Mambo Lawn" and an "Philharmonic Mini Theater" have been set up, providing citizens with a small stage for artistic performances and a grassy audience area, as well as a great space for family activities on ordinary days.

Lin Chao-chia, director of the Yangmingshan office of the Parks and Street Lights Office, said that in addition to using music as its construction theme, Zhongcheng Park's renovation project is also a new type of space combining artistic performance. Among its features, the painted glass skylight of the "stress-relief public toilet" specially invited Taiwan renowned painters Wu Hsuan-san and Chih Shang Feng-chu to create it together. Inside, through the dazzling light and shadow refracted by sunlight, visitors feel as if they are in nature. It is a public toilet that takes into account universal access, accessibility, parent-child needs and gender friendliness, providing a place of "convenience" and also a place of stress relief. It has been rated "excellent" continuously by Taipei City's Department of Environmental Protection.

Zhongcheng Park is the best choice for relaxing and recreation. Visitors can enjoy a 10-minute musical water dance on the hour every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (except 1 and 2 p.m.), and the water dance show from 6 to 8 p.m. is even paired with lighting effects.
