How to care for cactus? Three minutes to teach you how to make all cacti bloom

The cacti we usually grow will all bloom. Even the golden barrel cactus (Echinocactus grusonii), which everyone thinks will not bloom, does bloom too. If ours do not bloom, it is only because the conditions for blooming have not been met. So how should we care for cacti so that they will bloom?
Cactus flowers are absolutely spectacular and amaze us. You would never imagine that the usually inconspicuous cactus blooms so boldly and so powerfully. For example, this pot of Mammillaria (Golden Star), covered in flowers, and its offsets are all such prolific bloomers.
1. Potting soil,
Cacti like loose, breathable sandy soil. When we usually grow cacti, we can use mostly gritty soil, making up half or sixty percent, and then mix in some nutrient soil. This way, the soil is very loose and breathable. After watering, the water drains straight out from the bottom of the pot and will not stagnate in the pot. If we use non-breathable soil to plant them, even slight soil stagnation can easily damage the cacti's fine roots. When watered again, the injured cactus can easily rot, and then the whole ball rots. To grow cacti well, the most important thing is the soil mix.
2. Watering
We all know that cacti are fairly drought-tolerant, and that relies on the nutrients stored in their bodies to sustain them. If they are not watered for a long time, the cactus body will become thin and shrivel, let alone bloom. If you want it to bloom, do not let it lack water. Water thoroughly after the soil dries out. This way, the body grows fast and absorbs more nutrients, which is what helps it bloom.
3. Light
The original environment of cacti is desert regions, where light is very abundant. Usually, when we care for them at home, we must give them as much light as possible, ideally full-day sun, to help them bloom.
4. Fertilizing
If you want cacti to bloom, fertilizing is essential. You can use some water-soluble fertilizer that is not likely to burn the flowers to water the cacti. This is not harmful to the roots and is absorbed quickly. You can apply it once or twice a month, which helps the cactus form buds and bloom.
As long as we use the right methods, every kind of cactus will bloom. If we do not care for them well, we may never see them bloom in a lifetime. If they do not bloom, just follow these methods, and they will definitely bloom.
