The Xinpu Farmers' Association said that Xinpu pears are mostly grafted pears, with 10 pear production and marketing organization teams under its jurisdiction, 204 members, and a production area of about 200 hectares, mainly distributed in Nanping, Beiping, Zhaomen and other villages. At present, the main production varieties are Hosui pear, Mixue pear and Shinxing pear, and in recent years farmers have also grafted more than 10 other new varieties (such as Qiuhuang, Qiuyue, Ruyi, Taichung No. 2, etc.), extending the pear sales period and providing consumers with more diverse choices.

Farmers' Association Director-General Zeng Tingxi said that Xinpu pears are all picked when ripe and at their best sugar content, with first-rate flavor.
