Super shade-tolerant potted flower, easier to care for than pothos, blooms non-stop

Green potted plants are already a must-have decorative element in home life. Keeping some flowers and plants at home has many benefits: it beautifies the room and also lifts the spirits and cultivates the character.
In the scorching summer, many herbaceous plants and succulents go dormant, entering the "hard-to-survive-summer" stage. Summer is not very suitable for growing flowers; at present, the easiest plants to keep alive are indoor greenery such as pothos and spider plant. The flower introduced this time is called lipstick plant, a new type of indoor ornamental flower with beautiful blooms and foliage, easy to care for, and very shade-tolerant, making it very suitable for planting now.
Lipstick plant
The lipstick plant is a herbaceous plant of the Gesneriaceae family. It originally grew in tropical regions of Asia, and is now widely distributed around the world as an ornamental plant. It has been introduced in many provinces and regions of our country. Its leaves are ovate, opposite, evergreen all year round, with a glossy shine; the inflorescences are mostly axillary or terminal, and their shape closely resembles a lipstick, which is why, since it is often grown as a hanging plant, it is also called "lipstick spider plant."
An excellent choice for hanging potted plants
Unlike other shade-tolerant plants such as pothos and spider plant, which are reluctant to bloom, the lipstick plant blooms very readily. Its flowering period is irregular; with a moderate amount of light, it may bloom in all four seasons. Even without flowers, its bright green, glossy leaves make it an excellent foliage plant in itself, more attractive than pothos and spider plant, and together with its distinctly individual flowers, red blooms paired with green leaves, both flowers and foliage are beautiful, for viewing leaves and enjoying flowers alike.
Easy care
The lipstick plant originally grew under trees in tropical forests, so it has extremely strong shade tolerance, and it grows rapidly: a small seedling can fill a pot within a year. It dislikes harsh sun exposure and cannot be left in direct sunlight for long periods; with occasional light, or a bit of morning and evening sun, it will grow lush branches and leaves and bloom continuously. It likes fertilizer and water, yet also tolerates poor soil and drought, making it very easy to grow. Its only drawback is that it is not cold-tolerant, so in northern regions it cannot be grown outdoors through the winter.
Worth getting
Placing the lipstick plant indoors gives a very nice decorative effect. Its leaves stay green all year round, so it can be enjoyed as a green plant and can also effectively absorb dust and purify the air, and it has unusual flowers to admire as well. Its value for money is very high. It has not been in our country for long, yet it has already become a veritable "internet-famous plant," and is well worth getting.
