How to Identify Real and Fake Pesticides? These Methods You Need to Master
1. Pesticides should be bought from designated pesticide distribution outlets, such as agricultural technology stations and supply and marketing cooperatives.
2. Check whether the pesticide label content is complete. Such as the pesticide name, the three pesticide certificates (pesticide registration certificate, pesticide production license, pesticide production execution standard), net content, instructions for use, precautions, production date or batch number, factory name and detailed address, etc. Fake and inferior pesticides are often incomplete.
3. Check the appearance.
(1) Powders and wettable powders should be loose powder with no clumps.
(2) Emulsifiable concentrates should be a uniform liquid with no visible foreign impurities. If layering or turbidity occurs, or if after adding water the emulsion is not uniform or has floating oil, sediment, etc., it can be regarded as an inferior pesticide.
(3) Suspension concentrates should be a flowable suspension with no caking.
(4) If the tablets used as fumigants have turned to powder, it indicates they have lost effectiveness.
