I have seen many creative ideas for growing succulents, and the one below is made directly from found wood, much of it driftwood, grown into succulent displays, turning discarded driftwood into creative mixed succulent planters.

1. Succulents and air plants

Freshly collected driftwood must be thoroughly cleaned, and you need to choose suitable succulent varieties. Carve some grooves into the driftwood and place some sphagnum moss inside to hold the succulents in place. The sphagnum moss can be used after soaking in boiling water. Both succulents and air plants can be fixed directly onto the moss, becoming a stunning display.

2. Dead wood and succulents

A piece of withered, rotting wood can also be used to grow succulents. Here is a relatively hard piece of driftwood, decorated with some pebbles and artificial moss to become a very simple succulent display, and some gravel was also spread on the soil surface, making it look especially natural.

3. Driftwood plant display

The succulent display above adds a lot of green elements. Besides air plants and some succulents, it also adds some moss and gray-green sphagnum moss.

4. Succulent display

You can find driftwood of different shapes and carve some grooves into it, and then you can arrange different kinds of succulents nicely. You can choose different varieties and match different colors.

5. Dead wood planter

You can use different methods to fix succulents onto driftwood. Of course, the best method is still to carve holes and plant them. You can also use hot glue to fix the succulents directly onto it, but those can only serve as short-term decorations. Of course, you also need to add some sphagnum moss.

6. Mixed succulent planter

Above is a very charming mixed succulent planter. It has a beach-like feel. Here, succulents of different sizes and types were selected, and some small pebbles were also spread on the soil surface as decoration.

7. Succulent display

If you especially like pairing plants with driftwood, you can choose some long pieces of driftwood and even place them vertically. You can create different shapes and pair them with some vertically growing plants.

8. Charred wood and succulents

This is a somewhat charred piece of driftwood, and it looks even more natural. Indeed, plants of different colors look even more charming, paired with red Sempervivum and white Aeonium succulents.
