Which grape varieties are grown in the Macedonian wine region of Greece?
Macedonia has many wine grape varieties and diverse styles, mainly including the following:
1. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Limnio can all be used to make powerful, concentrated red wines, and the wines produced all have ageing potential.
2. Assyrtico, Athiri and Malagouzia are used to make dry white wines with typical and distinctive regional characteristics.
