Four major flowers welcome guests, entrance imagery built at 9 work zones of Taichung World Flora Exposition

The Taichung World Flora Exposition exhibition areas span Houli, Fengyuan and Waipu. To highlight the characteristics of each area and expand the city's greening highlights, the Taichung City Construction Bureau will carry out landscape beautification along the main connecting routes of each exhibition area. Using Taichung's main flower production and matching the color tones of flower plantings, four major color systems have been selected: yellow-green Oncidium, purple gladiolus, white lilies and red anthurium, and with ecological plantings, perennial shrubs and more, it will create a Taichung garden city that "attracts bees and butterflies." Construction is expected to start in October, with a construction period of about 6 months, which will allow the atmosphere of the flora exposition to be created earlier.

The Construction Bureau said there are 9 work zones in total, namely Houli Railway Station, Ching Chuang Kang Airport, Daya Interchange, Houli Interchange, Houke Road, Fengyuan Railway Station, Fengyuan Boulevard, Fengyuan Interchange and County Road 132. The outer areas of the work zones will all be arranged with various plantings to create a sea-of-flowers welcome imagery. The Houli exhibition area will be dotted with yellow-green Oncidium, creating a feeling of vitality and health; the Fengyuan exhibition area will use clearly purple-and-white gladiolus and lilies to create a fresh and comfortable sea-of-flowers environment; finally, the passionate red of anthurium will light up the Waipu exhibition area, revealing a lively and joyful flora exposition atmosphere.

The Taichung World Flora Exposition exhibition areas will incorporate GNP elements such as Green, Nature and People, and combine them with local characteristics to show the beauty of the local area; in addition to the rich and ever-changing content of each exhibition venue, the Construction Bureau has also carefully planned the main connecting routes of each exhibition area, using ecological plantings to create the characteristics of each area along the landscapes that public transport must pass through, presenting the public space aesthetics of flowers and greenery.
