2017 Changhua Dairy Cattle Festival: County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku Markets the Local Dairy Farming Industry

To promote Changhua's local dairy farming industry, the Changhua County Government held the Changhua Dairy Cattle Festival on the morning of the 24th at the Fuxing Granary. Changhua County Magistrate Wei Ming-ku, Deputy Magistrate Lin Ming-yu and others attended; Changhua County Fuxing Township Farmers' Association Chairman Tsai Cheng-fang, Standing Supervisor Nien Ming-tsan, and Director-General Lin Kun-hung attended. Magistrate Wei Ming-ku promoted the local dairy farming industry and quality dairy products, hoping that through this event everyone could experience the results of Changhua's diversified livestock industry development, and welcoming everyone to visit Changhua to experience the local dairy farming industry and taste quality dairy products.

Magistrate Wei Ming-ku stated that Changhua County is an important production county and city for the dairy farming industry, with an annual milk output ranking first nationwide at 90,000 metric tons. The main dairy cattle raising areas in Changhua County are distributed across Fuxing Township, Fangyuan Township, Xiushui Township and Erlin Township, with Fuxing Township being the primary dairy cattle raising area.

At the 2017 "Changhua Dairy Cattle Festival" event site, besides a dairy cattle encyclopedia introduction, pasture grass installation art and a static exhibition of dairy farming industry equipment and materials, there were also dynamic activities such as adorable kindergarten children performing a little dairy cow dance, musical performances, magic shows and flair bartending shows. At the site there were also simple dairy product cooking demonstrations, limited-time and limited-quantity dairy promotions, and poultry and livestock product tastings and other programs and activities. Visitors could also come to the Fuxing Township Farmers' Association granary to drink milk, see adorable dairy cows and take part in fun activities. The rich and exciting activities attracted many people.

Distinguished guests attending also included Legislators Hung Tsung-yi and Wang Hui-mei, County Government Agriculture Director Huang Pi-hai, Cultural Affairs Director Chen Wen-pin, Information Director Li Chun-te, and elected representatives at all levels.
