For farmers growing peanuts, master these four points and it will be hard not to get a high yield

In peanut cultivation, how to improve its root and stem pod-setting rate is key. Many times, our above-ground leaves grow very well, but the output at peanut harvest is not very ideal.Previously, some farmer friends sent private messages to "Ainongbang" specifically about peanut cultivation issues, so today we will give a detailed explanation for everyone.

1. Do a good job of seed treatment

Before sowing, sun-drying the seeds is an important step. Sun-drying the seeds can help the seeds better maintain their vitality and help the seeds germinate and emerge better. It is very effective for seeds that are not very ripe or have been affected by moisture.

At the same time, be sure to pay attention to the sun-drying time for the seeds. They cannot be sun-dried for too long, nor too short. About 4 hours a day, for 3 to 4 consecutive days, is enough.

Note: It is recommended to shell the peanuts the day before using them as seed. Shelling them too early will cause the peanut seeds to oxidize and reduce the peanuts' own vitality. Since this is sowing, the first step is very important, so try to choose peanut seeds with a relatively high plumpness.

2.Pay attention to sowing time

The sowing time is generally in May and early June. Try not to delay the time, to avoid affecting the later peanut yield.

3. Pay attention to sowing details

The sowing depth is generally about 5 cm, which is suitable. If the soil is clayey and the soil moisture is good, you can sow appropriately shallowly. When sowing, you do not need to tread on the seed. After covering with soil, wait until the surface soil is slightly dry, then decide as appropriate whether to compact it, so as to avoid surface soil crusting and affecting emergence.

If the soil moisture is slightly poor at sowing or the soil is too sandy, you should sow appropriately deeply. Note that shallow sowing should not be shallower than 3.3 cm, and deep sowing should not be deeper than 6.6 cm. Be sure to tread on the seed with soil, compact it promptly after covering with soil, and carry out drought-resistant sowing in time.

To control underground pests, poisoned bait should be applied when sowing to ensure a full stand. Seed coating with a seed coating agent can also be used before sowing. The requirement for reasonable close planting of peanuts is "in fertile land the vines do not fall over, in poor land the rows can close" (it is best for the rows to close during the pod-setting period).

3. Carry out deep plowing

Peanuts are a deep-rooted crop, so try to carry out deep plowing, about 5 cm is suitable. This can help peanuts better absorb nutrients and bear more fruit.

4. Pay attention to the amount of fertilizer applied

Fertilizer application rate per mu = 2000 kg of thoroughly decomposed high-quality human and livestock manure + 15 kg of diammonium phosphate + 5~6 kg of potassium chloride + 4~5 kg of urea + phosphate fertilizer + organic fertilizer

In addition, rhizobium inoculant can be used to dress the seeds, increasing effective rhizobia and improving nitrogen fixation; in addition, 0.2%~0.3% ammonium molybdate can be used to supplement the trace elements needed by peanuts.
