The Nantou World Tea Expo runs lively from the 7th to the 15th in Zhongxing New Village

The 2017 Nantou World Tea Expo will be grandly held from October 7 to 15 around the Zhongxing Assembly Hall in Zhongxing New Village. County Magistrate Lin Mingchen announced this event information at a press conference held by the county government on the 2nd. This year, in addition to moving the entire event to around the main sports field, a tea-pairing meal will also be introduced, and an international craft tea academy, a craft art fun pavilion, and a tea technology innovation pavilion will also be added. In addition, continuing last year's enthusiasm, a folk song concert will be held. For related event information, please visit the event's official website at http://teaexpo.mmweb.tw.

When delivering his remarks, County Magistrate Lin Mingchen said that the 2017 Nantou World Tea Expo this year uses "Green Fields Immortal Cup" as its theme and moves all event venues around the main sports field, using the outdoor greenery to create a free, leisurely and elegant pleasure of tea tasting, hoping to exceed last year's 450,000 visitor count and create higher revenue.

At the press conference, this year's innovative idea for the tea expo was also showcased - tea-pairing meals. "Jiang Tea Academy" was invited to reinterpret the definition of food and drink pairings at the dining table, using authentic Taiwan oolong tea to pair with cuisines from various countries, challenging everyone's taste buds and overturning the imagination of Taiwan oolong tea. During the event, it will be experienced by reservation.

This year's event content remains all-encompassing, rich and interesting. In addition to the eagerly awaited thousand-person tea gathering, the Green Fields Immortal Cup concert, and the winding stream tea banquet, there are also tea-scented six senses, thousand-person tea rolling, ancient-style tea roasting, and bare-hand tea weighing, all very suitable for the whole family to participate in together. On the evening of the 8th, a folk song concert for traffic safety awareness will also be held, with famous singers such as Shi Xiaorong, Xu Jingchun, Zeng Shuqin, and Tai Zhaomei invited to perform live. The public is welcome to take part.
