Kinmen County Agricultural Research Institute autumn and winter plug seedling distribution begins

The autumn and winter plug seedlings registered in July by the Kinmen County Agricultural Research Institute are now being distributed for collection. Those who registered during the announcement period (July 20 to August 20, 2017) are asked, during working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-12:00 and 13:30-17:30, to first open an order and make payment at the institute's Administrative Affairs Section, then collect the seedlings at the seedling greenhouse.

Starting from the 1st, farmers who registered for the first batch of tomatoes have been notified by phone one after another to collect their seedlings. The collection period for the first batch ends on October 10, so those who have not yet collected their seedlings are asked to do so as soon as possible. For those who registered for the second batch of vegetable plug seedlings, the three types - cabbage (Early Autumn), leaf mustard (red-leaf type) and cauliflower (medium-maturing 75-day) - can be collected at the Agricultural Research Institute starting from October 11. However, napa cabbage (Jinqiu), kohlrabi (Green Field), heading Chinese cabbage (Huang Wangfeng 80), cabbage (New Early Autumn No. 1) and broccoli (Funong No. 75) have not yet completed hardening off, so please wait until October 16 to come and collect the seedlings. Those who have registered for multiple types of vegetable seedlings should judge for themselves when to go and collect them, to avoid making multiple trips.

In addition, a special reminder: the collection period for the second batch of vegetable plug seedlings is from October 16 to October 25, and the collection period for the third batch of vegetable plug seedlings is from November 1 to November 10. Those who have registered are asked to come to the institute's Administrative Affairs Section during the above times to complete payment and collect the seedlings in the greenhouse area.
