Persimmons are red! Chiayi County Magistrate Zhang Huaguan endorsed Fanlu Township persimmons on October 17, inviting everyone to come to Fanlu Ziyun Temple on the 21st-22nd to join the persimmon festival series of events, which offers food, fun, and rich prizes.
Persimmons marketed from September to November are one of the crops with the highest economic value in the mountainous areas of Chiayi County. Chiayi County has a production area of 629.58 hectares and an annual output of 6000 tons. The production areas are mainly concentrated in Fanlu Township, accounting for as much as 70% of the county's persimmon production area, and Fanlu Township's annual output alone reaches 4,606 metric tons.
The Chiayi County Government and Fanlu Township Office adopted the theme "Play in Fanlu, Lots of Persimmons" this year to market the Fanlu brand, and through value-added activities invited people from all over the country to come together to Fanlu to purchase persimmon series products, using consumption to drive the local industrial economy.
Magistrate Zhang Huaguan gave a preview of the various exciting activities to be held on the 21st-22nd at the third parking lot of Ziyun Temple, including wonderful performances by many well-known artists such as Dong Yujun, Wen Hanlong, and Lin Qiaoan, as well as various artistic and cultural performances. There will also be interactive challenge games to bring parents and children closer, painting DIY, persimmon dyeing experiences, persimmon sales, and a water resources awareness train, adding even more exciting scenes to the event. Everyone is welcome to participate enthusiastically.
