Qinghai News Network (Reported by our website reporter Luo Tingphotography report) On June 20, the China-Qinghai Plateau Characteristic Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Forum, hosted by the Qinghai Provincial People's Government and organized by the Qinghai Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, was held in Xining, Qinghai. Yan Jinhai, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Governor, attended the forum and delivered a speech.
With the theme of developing plateau characteristic agriculture and animal husbandry, the forum carried out keynote speeches and experience exchanges focusing on advancing agricultural modernization, developing ecological animal husbandry, building agricultural and livestock product brands, and promoting the transformation of farmers and herders from single planting, breeding and ecological stewardship to a virtuous cycle of ecological production and living.
In his speech, Yan Jinhai emphasized that plateau characteristic modern ecological agriculture and animal husbandry has now entered a new stage of virtuous cycle and sustainable development. The 13th Provincial Party Congress proposed fully implementing the major requirements of the "four solid efforts," striving to promote the "four transformations," and achieving the goal of "one synchronization, four mores." Agriculture and animal husbandry must take supply-side structural reform as the main line, focus on "promoting mutual benefit and win-win among ecology, production and living," and strive to realize the transformation of farmers and herders from single planting, breeding and ecological stewardship to a virtuous cycle of ecological production and living. By actively integrating into the national economic development strategy, we will accelerate the creation of the "three zones and one belt" agricultural and animal husbandry development pattern. Adhering to the modern agriculture and animal husbandry industrial parks and the national grassland ecological animal husbandry pilot zone as platforms, we will cultivate new types of business entities, carefully build plateau characteristic agricultural and livestock product brands, deeply advance green and circular development, and raise the level of large-scale and intensive operations. We will continue to strengthen ecological protection, make solid efforts to implement major ecological projects such as the second phase of the Three-Rivers Source and returning grazing land to grassland, and advance the construction of an ecological civilization system. We will strengthen scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the implementation of the "Internet Plus" modern agriculture and animal husbandry initiative, promote the integration of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and advance industrial poverty alleviation. We will continuously deepen agricultural and animal husbandry reform, activate development potential, innovate rural and pastoral institutional mechanisms, and effectively enhance the vitality of plateau characteristic modern ecological agriculture and animal husbandry development.
Three experts from units including the Rural Social Undertakings Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Chengdu Institute of Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the magazine Brand Agriculture and Market respectively delivered keynote reports titled "Advancing Agricultural Modernization and Modern Agricultural Industrial Park Construction," "Green Development Leads the Construction of the Grassland Ecological Animal Husbandry Pilot Zone," and "How to Build Agricultural Public Brands and Characteristic Brands" on topics including agricultural modernization, grassland ecological animal husbandry, and brand agriculture, exchanging new ideas, broadening new approaches, building new consensus, and planning new development.
