The Miaoli County Nanzhuang Landscape Festival will kick off on October 28 and 29, combining a charity farm-themed fun run, sales of premium agricultural products such as sweet persimmons, and food tasting in a series of events that promise to be spectacular. County Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang, invited to serve as the event's spokesperson, invites domestic and international visitors to take a light trip to Nanzhuang and experience the scenery and cultural charm of the slow city.
The Nanzhuang Township Farmers' Association held a press conference promoting the Landscape Festival this morning at the County Government hall. County Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang, Nanzhuang Township Chief Lai Sheng-wei, Township Representatives Council Chairman Chiu Tzu-tseng, Farmers' Association Chairman Hsu Jung-shui, County Government Agriculture Department Director Chen Chin-chun, and others jointly presented Nanzhuang's various agricultural specialties, while also inviting visitors to come to Nanzhuang to enjoy the slow city landscape and taste the slow city cuisine.
County Magistrate Hsu Yao-chang stated that Nanzhuang received international slow city certification last year, and this year, under the theme "Nanzhuang Landscape Leisure Stroll," it won first place for the "Parent-Child Fun Award" in the Sports Administration's local specialty sports poll. Nanzhuang's landscape charm is irresistible, and its high-quality, delicious agricultural specialties and diverse ethnic characteristics have made it a hot spot for slow food, slow travel, and slow living tourism.
The Nanzhuang Landscape Festival has now entered its 17th year, and to date has attracted millions of visitors to Nanzhuang to experience the beauty of mountain living. The running events introduced in recent years have attracted numerous runners, who take in Nanzhuang's breathtaking landscape scenery by jogging, and registration fills up in seconds every year.
Farmers' Association General Manager Chen Chien-an pointed out that this year's event will be held on the 28th and 29th at Shuibiantou in Nanzhuang Old Street, featuring agricultural specialty product sales and promotions, along with a Nanzhuang sweet persimmon customer base expansion and value-added promotion program. Sweet persimmons, hairy crabs, and pickled mustard greens are currently in season, making it the perfect time for an autumn trip to Nanzhuang to enjoy good food. Details can be found online.
