The "Central Taiwan Hot Spring Festival" series of events will kick off from November 24 to 26 in the Guguan Hot Spring Area. This year, for the first time, it brings together 6 major hot spring areas in central Taiwan, including Tai'an, Dakeng, Guguan, Wuri, Dongpu and Beigang River, offering diverse hot spring bathing options. On November 25, the prelude will open with an "Indigenous-Style Afternoon Tea Banquet," featuring Atayal indigenous song and dance performances and Taiwanese-language singer Guo Tingyun, among others; those who line up on site at Guguan Hot Spring Park before noon that day can also enjoy free owl cookies, five-needle pine juice, mochi pounding and more. Taichung Deputy Mayor Zhang Guangyao encouraged the public to enjoy good hot springs and take care of their health in all four seasons of the year.

The "Central Taiwan Hot Spring Festival" event is co-hosted by the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and the Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau. On the 24th, a promotional press conference was held at the plaza behind the municipal building on Taiwan Boulevard. Attendees included Taichung Deputy Mayor Zhang Guangyao, Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Headquarters Director Wu Zhuzhi of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau Director Chen Shengshan, and Heping District Chief Lin Jiantang, among others, who all came to join the occasion and invite the public to enjoy good hot springs and eat delicious food together.

This year, the central region has brought together 6 well-known hot spring areas, including Tai'an, Dakeng, Guguan, Wuri, Dongpu and Beigang River, offering hot spring bathing and accommodation discounts; it has also invited operators from the 6 major hot spring areas in central Taiwan to promote and showcase at the hot spring market, and has planned the "Central Taiwan Hot Spring Guide Stamp Collection" activity. As long as the public picks up a stamp card at 7 designated locations and collects 3 stamps, they can exchange it at the Guguan Visitor Center for an "Original Happiness" compressed towel, or at the Puli Visitor Center for a Sun Moon Lake postcard and other limited-edition souvenirs.
