The Council of Agriculture stated that the goat carnival event showcased two mainstream domestic goat breeds, "Nubian and Boer," and that judging was divided into two categories, male goats and female goats, by breed. Professional judges scored the animals on site, and the results were determined by the total scores of the goats in each group of each breed. The top three in each group were selected and awarded one medal each and a cash prize as encouragement.

The Council of Agriculture pointed out that as autumn arrives and the weather turns cooler, it is the perfect season to enjoy mutton. To guide and promote domestic mutton, the Republic of China Sheep and Goat Association has run a domestic mutton label certification system since 98, and 62 businesses across the country have been certified so far. Domestic mutton is fresh, delicious and nutritious, and the public is urged to look for the domestic mutton label and support it.
