Qianjiang District invigorates its "mountain article" to boost rural economic development

First, promote the population's "descent from the mountains." Implement the high-mountain ecological poverty alleviation relocation policy, grant 100,000 yuan in industrial development funds to each centralized resettlement site every year, encourage residents to start their own businesses, carry out various types of training such as practical rural skills for 23,000 person-times, and guide more than 2,000 relocated impoverished people to achieve nearby employment.

Second, drive industry to "move up the mountains." Integrate various funds such as those for characteristic high-efficiency agriculture, and by means of industrialization and corporatization, build livestock breeding bases, melon, fruit and vegetable planting bases, and Chinese herbal medicine planting bases, driving relocated farming households to develop 35,000 mu of sericulture and 15,000 mu of kiwifruit.

Third, attract tourists to "enter the mountains." Provide special subsidies for relocated impoverished households to develop rural tourism, use the tourism industry to lift impoverished people out of poverty and toward prosperity, develop more than 170 rural tourism demonstration households and 1,200 reception beds, with an average household income increase of 15,000 yuan.

Fourth, drive products to "leave the mountains." Organize farmers' cooperatives to go out, develop multiple channels such as farmer-supermarket direct supply and direct delivery sales and online sales, help farmers sell agricultural products, develop origin processing and commercial circulation of agricultural products, and open up sales channels for agricultural products in mountainous areas.
